"ends up costing currently serving soldiers who had nothing to do with them their lives?"

Not to mention the untold Muslim civilians who will die. Remember that there were more Muslim casualties during the Danish cartoon riots than Infidel casualties. How will that square with the, "Please don't hate us, we want to be friends," Cairo speach.

Contemptible is not a sufficiently word. But, this is a family blog, and I'm not sure there are words strong enough to describe that low life from Taxachussetts.

Scott,
there are no unintended or any bad consequences in Pelosi and Frank's world - in their minds, by virtue of their social status they are insulated from anything but good coming their way.

SteveC -- Thanks for the reminder. It is sobering to visit Omaha Beach -- first, to look at the steep cliffs which restricted exits from the beach to the few draws -- which the Germans had well protected. Second, to visit Point Du Hoc and realize the valor of the Rangers to scale those steep cliffs. Then to visit the cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, and see the stark evidence of the last full measure of devotion.

Come to think of it, wasn't the war against Germany a "war of choice" as well? Wonder why Brokaw didn't ask The One this week? Drool probably got in the way. He wouldn't have been alone.

Bahney Fwank and Nancy Pelosi are on the side of Fwank and Pelosi. They are not alone in this 'who's side are they on' thing, but for brevity's sake, we can leave it at that for now. Because it's early and listing that particular "who's-who" turns my stomach and starts the day badly. Particularly today I want to be thinking thoughts of what was risked, accomplished, and begun this day 65 years ago.
