If the idea has been used in anti-Piracy ops before, I haven’t heard of it. The Germans in WW1 and the rematch used them and they were effective commerce raiders until warships brought them to bay. I can remember only one situation, the fight with the HMAAS Sydney, iirc, where the Qship gave as good as it got. The ship didn’t survive, but the crew did. The Sydney, however was lost without trace.

If I’m wrong about the ship name, I’m sure Spaz will correct me. No hard feelings on my part.
