Targets of Opportunityblog advertising is good for you Credo"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." -- John Paul Jones "Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Caesar and Cleopatra" "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friedrich Nietzsche "A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate."--Edmund Burke “You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours.”--General Sir Charles Napier "Μολὼν λαβέ" -- Leonidas "Blogito Ergo Sum" -- Neptunus Lex Amazon AssociateFor the Effort!Winnar!![]() Subscribe![]() CategoriesPagesTagsacademy

When I was going through Test Pilot School, I wound up going to Canada. Flew with a Canadian pilot who had something like this…but with a real ejection seat.
He had to eject from a burning airplane. The ground crew recovered the seat, mounted it on a plate, and awarded it to him. Great trophy.
Not quite the same. Still, I’m not sure I’d be completely comfortable sitting it unless it was pinned.
I’d probably get WAY MORE use out of the BARSTOOL version.
(Hit “Moto-Art” off of Gizmodo) Btw, Wilco has already enticed/tortured me with the sight of it several month’s ago over at his place–you’re late Lex! (But thanx for the thought!
)
I want one!
PS: There are several other ex-F-4 types around here like Skippy, et al. Ought to all chip in and buy at least ONE (the bar-stool, natch) and mount it for a memorial display. But which bar in which city?? Sigh, decisions, decisions. May have to take a national tour to check out potential sites in the various nominated cities and bars. The nominations for the city/bar to receive this distinct honor are now OPEN. Anyone??
If you pull the yellow-striped handle between your legs, does it blast you through the ceiling?
forget the office chair made by some artsy pinko pulling parts from junk….get the real thing
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180371869513
Ironically, this chair is unsafe because there are only 4 wheels in contact with the deck, not the proscribed 5
On those days when you can’t fly, just scoot around the office and make jet engine noises. Occasionally you may need to “pull the handle” when the workload is too much.
I got a quote on this last April. Not for those on a budget.For those who have this on their birthday list the chair is $3,100. I believe VX had the barstool on his list (surprized?). That’s $4,900.
