Just the latest in a long and rapidly growing list of promises and claims made to win election, or even since election, but totally ignored when he wanted to act contrary to his “words, just words.”

    Remember these?
    No lobbyists in high positions.
    No earmarks allowed in bills.
All bills to be posted on line for 5 days prior to passage or signing.
    Cut spending.

This narcissist is determined to have his own way, regardless of what he says, let along what others might say, or even what the Constitution says.

Hopefully he will fail to keep his word to force health care reform through this year, but I think he may live up to that one.

With the insane clown posse in the Senate plussed up by one, no telling what new tricks or treats might be coming out way.

BTW, John, whatever happened to the original “Insane Clown Posse?” Or would you tell me they’ve all been cloned and are now residing in Congress–that members of Congress are not just “like” the Insane Clown Posse, they in fact ARE the Insane Clown Posse?

Boiling it all down, it’s about power. I believe this guy is killing our country.

It is about power, true, and the real concern is now that there is a majority in both houses of Congress and the Executive is of the same party, will the third branch be able to serve as a check?

I kid myself, the third branch is staffed by the first two.

Given unchecked power, they will invariably grab all they can. My guess is they will over-reach, and the next congress may take some of that power away.

But not all of it. And by such steps are our freedoms siphoned away.

  • Lex, I noticed that MKH is the author of the “Townhall Meetings” article you link to above. Hmmm, I may have to fight you for her (or arm wrestle you, or pitch pennies, or rock, paper, scissors, or Trivia Pursuit)!!!

    BT: Jimmy T sends.

I had the pleasure of speaking with MKH at a recent Tea Party here in Raleigh a month or so ago. She is an intelligent, articulate, passionate, gracious lady. High energy level. Very attractive in person, though we had to behave ourselves as her parents were also at the event. :)

And, since no link to MKH is complete without a picture:
