I wonder if they intended to hit that SEPTAR - which looks likes it's sinking in the last few frames. Way back in time my last Navy assignment was a detachment OinC with Fleet Composite Squadron 6 in Norfolk. I was on the aviation target side but the squadron also had a boat detachment that operated SEPTARs. For gunnery practice the mounts would have a few mils offset cranked in so as to not actually hit the somewhat expensive remote control speedboat. But I heard tales of how every once in a while a fleet gunnery exercise would go bust because somebody sunk the target.

Those boats could scream too. The 18 footers had a Chrysler 318 with a stern drive and could hit about 65. The big boats (35 foot, I think?) could take up to 4 big block Chevy engines driving straight shaft drives. The boat det guys seemed to enjoy their jobs.

Been on the M2/M3 Brad for years, right XBradTC? As well as a Marine LAV. Gotta like firepower, on land or sea. Still, I am partial to a 120mm HEAT coming out of a smoothbore. An APFSDS will give you sparks but a HEAT will toss a turret in the air. No comments from Lex about secondaries, please.
