As far as math goes, Newton is important, but for those guys digital video editing is even more important.
So, as an exercise, anybody want to calculate his take-off velocity? Then, assuming a 15′ diameter pool, how many G’s on splashdown?

Yeah flying through the air with the greatest of ease and landing in a pool, what maybe 5′ deep and jumping out like somebody flushed the toilet while you are in the shower kinda makes me wonder what sorta bionic man we’re talking ’bout here.
I think I liked it better when the camera didn’t lie and such…
5′ deep? Looked more like 2′ deep.
Kind of reminds me of the circus act where they shoot a guy out of a cannon and into…? I don’t remember the last, but it was probably something like a large dog bowl.
Navy needs that guy’s phone number. He’s the man to make EMALS work.
