I don't have much problem with Ms. Clinton developing a sharp edge; IIRC many on the right enjoyed John Bolton's tart comments in the public domain. :) This reminds me of the time in '08 when Giuliani was still considered a front-runner, and several articles popped up in the MSM to the effect that he was an SOB. My response was "fine, as long as he's a <i>competent</i> SOB." I don't care if Hillary is a marble-buster. I do care if she is competent in that respect. So, I'll cut her a little slack on this issue. :) I definitely prefer someone who can bust chops (as required) vs. some "can't we all just get along?" whinger. Simply an objective and solution-focused look at the problem--she isn't doing the best with what she's got. And as I said, I don't have room to throw stones about appearance. If I was being catty, I'd call her names or say she was irretrievably ugly. As far as Palin vs. Clinton... I certainly can understand Mrs. C being offended, but she did rise to it rather quickly. I suspect the difference is that Palin's response to an such an insulting question likely would be delivered with a wink and smile that would soften the blow, while Mrs. C's irritation was on bald display.
