Targets of Opportunityblog advertising is good for you Credo"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." -- John Paul Jones "Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Caesar and Cleopatra" "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friedrich Nietzsche "A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate."--Edmund Burke “You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours.”--General Sir Charles Napier "Μολὼν λαβέ" -- Leonidas "Blogito Ergo Sum" -- Neptunus Lex Amazon AssociateFor the Effort!Winnar!![]() Subscribe![]() CategoriesPagesTagsacademy

The last time th Democrats ran things, (Clinton’s eight years) we had prosperity and high levels of employment. Many say that economy was the result of the Republicans being in the White House for the previous 12 years.
After Clinton left, an attack that was concieved hatched while Clinton was at the helm devastated out country. Had a stronger leader with more of a backbone been looking after the ship of state, many feel Al-Quaeda could not have grown to be the organization it was while Clinton and the Democrats managed our defense. The lack of action from the Democrats when it came to national defense and the shameful behavior we had to endure during the Clinton years is about to be repeated. We are letting down our guard and setting ourselves up for another series of attacks. The bad guys have seen the writing on the wall and think we are a much easier target. Hell, I think we are an eaier target.
No clear policy on defense, no aggressive action against our sworn enemies, weakening our defensive capability, lack of credibility amongst our allies and czars that preach solidarity with socialists, terorists and thieves. We are in trouble.
To be fair to Clinton, every time he used military force the Republican party condemned him. Given the limited information he had, and the political constraints he was working under, his policies make plenty of sense. One must remember that up until 9/11, Bush policies were almost identical.
Uh, no secret asian man.
Thank you for playing. We have some lovely parting gifts.

OT, but how’d you like the book?
“Many say that economy was the result of the Republicans being in the White House for the previous 12 years.”
Yeah, that makes sense.
“After Clinton left, an attack that was concieved hatched while Clinton was at the helm devastated out country.”
And who was president when that attack occurred well into his presidency?
“czars that preach solidarity with socialists, terorists and thieves. ”
These are just nonsensical talking points you got from Glenn Beck.
Alos,
Not sure you read the NYT but if so, you will learn that, Acorn are cheats and thieves, and a Whitehouse Czar with socialist agenda just resigned. This is not Glenn Beck warning us, it’s the left leaning NYT. Even east coast liberals can see the problem.
I missed it too. On purpose. Guess that makes me a racist.
Heh.
Gee, it looks like even a socialist country can get some things right occasionally.
I will have to enjoy a LaBatt Blue tonight in honor of our Northern Neighbors action.
Here’s an interesting graphic of Obama’s speech via wordle, a word cloud generator:
http://www.wordle.net/show/wrdl/1161609/Obama_UN_Speech
Contrast this with the word cloud of Sarah Palin’s speech in Hong Kong:
http://www.wordle.net/show/wrdl/1161603/Sarah_Palin_Hong_Kong_speech_excerpt
Granted, different audiences, different subjects, but the general aimlessness and fluffiness of Obama’s speech is evident: populist words such as ‘people’ ‘nations’ ‘world’ ‘peace’ etc.
Palin’s speech is more directly pointed -’China’ looms extremely large, showing that China dominated Mrs. Palin’s address, but so does ‘Chinese’, ‘economic’ ‘Afghanistan’ ‘war ‘Asia,’ as well as ‘world’. Less fluff, more content and easier for the reader to discern what she is actually saying.
I saw that when Gaddafi made his speech, he basically accused Israel of killing JFK. And maybe MLK.
I mean, you gotta laugh at the idea that the UN even listens to these people.
Sorry CG, I can’t laugh at the fact that the U.S. allows terrorists/terrorist supporters into this country for anything. Gaddafi and Ahmadinnerjacket should not be allowed to set foot on U.S. soil.
The U.N. speech by Obama? A huge step backwards for this country. Our great appeaser-in-chief really stepped up the “America has been evil” and “America has only done anything constructive since I, The One, took office” rhetoric.
Disgusting.
Though I do applaud the 11 countries who walked out of the assembly when Ahmanutjob took the podium. The count included Britain, Germany, Italy, France, Australia and … the U.S.
Kris … I’m offended by this also. I’m very tired of America politely accepting insults from wormy little persons because we supposedly are the adults in the relationship and we have to permit the children their tantrums. Well I don’t. And I won’t. Obama acts as if he’s a visitor here, and doesn’t like what he sees. What he is, is a poor President and a bad representative of the greatest nation in the world today.
