When only Congress can investigate itself, when the attorney general is appointed by the executive, the only oversight left on two of the three branches of our government is at the ballot box every 2, 4 or 6 years.

I love it when Rangels’ defenders always quickly point out that he is a patriot and Korean war veteran, yet veteran war hero status didn’t cut it for the left in Duke Cunninghams case, in which they used the word crook quite liberally and loudly. Another case of whose ox is being gored. “Where you stand depends on where you sit” is a phrase which has been used as a powerful explanatory tool to analyze peoples actions, but tellingly, while one might think the Elephants would defend Cunningham to the death because of where both he and they sat–they did not–but roundly condemmed him instead–admittedly as much in sorrow as in anger. But the Donkeys? They just sit. On their hands. Crickets chirping.

Disgusting. And STEVEC is right. Yet another of oh so many blatant demonstrations of just how deeply the MSM is in the O-tank. They’ve merged with its surface–coated the damn thing with a molecular bond.

Edward: Ms. Waters didn’t specify a party when she said lots of “lawmakers” are guilty of this. I’d love it if the regulating agency took her remark as an invitation to audit EVERY Representative and Senator, from BOTH parties. Maybe thin the herd a bit, eh?

There is far too little vocal outrage on the various news outlets about Rangel. It needs to be on the front burner for everyone. They guy’s a crook. How else has he managed on the salary he gets to amass the kind of assets he’s been hiding….which begs the point that he has hidden the assets because it’s damned hard to explain how he got them in the first place. C R O O K .
