I give to the Valour-IT project via our Combined Fund Drive at work — makes it painless to give all year long. I was surprised to see Soldiers Angels on the list, but I specify my money to the Valour-IT project, just because it all goes to the program and tech is dear to my heart as I’m an IT techy-type person, after all.

Might could scrape up a few extra for the Navy team, though…

Ah – good news! My employer will be sending a matching donation to Valour-IT in the next week or 2! It may not make it in time for this particular fundraising period – but it will get there. Records show they have matched my Valour-IT donations for the past 3 years.

If you have an employer that does this I strongly suggest you approach them. Soldiers Angels meets all the government criteria for a charitable organization so this is really a no-brainer.

Think about it – double your donation to this incredible cause…

Donation made thru Team Navy. My company also does matching donations so I’m going to try that avenue – it’s so close to the end of the year there may not be time.

I am torn; torn, I tell you! Of two minds! What would the FuzzyBear have me do? Stick with my oldest, weirdest milblogger friend, The Donovan, a fellow ailurophile, or incline toward the Naval Aviator, just because I wanted to be one when I was a kid? I dunno, I think FBL’s loyalty might have been seduced by that ultimate bribe, a Distinguished Visitor carrier visit; she can not possibly be unbiased now.

On behalf of Soldiers Angels, I’d just like to thank all of the members of each of the teams for supporting the cause. As a member of the Board of Trustees, I honestly can’t thank all of you enough for donating to this cause, and providing our wounded heroes with the equipment that they need.

A special thanks to FbL for coming up with the idea in the first place, and taking the ball and running with it.

So, let’s get a move on, Navy, and get those donations rolling in!
