A Long, LONG while. Remotely manned means just that…we sawed off the cockpit, parked it on the ground, and stuck some fancy comms into the FCS. And added a pretty smart autopilot to handle the mundane tasks. Good piloting headwork is still very much a requirement.

And Lex can now get to work on building himself a Real Airplane. One with two wings and a round engine. Say a replica Boeing F4B-4, or Curtiss F9C-1.

Congrats on new logbook entry. Any chance of a video anytime in near future? We’d love to see a shot from over your shoulder and watch you working your a$$ off.

Next? Ballons? Multi-engine center line? Drone cert?

Talking about renter’s insurance…

Many moons ago I checked out in a local J5 Cub, (Before logbook endorsements were required, $12/hr, that long ago). After he pronounced me proficient we went inside for a Coke and I asked about insurance. He replied, “You break it,you buy it… ”

I passed on it for that day.

Dang it Lex, ya beat me to it! Went out yesterday and am about “this close” to nailing wheel landings. I need to work on minimizing my descent rate with power just a tad more and I too can emulate your runway gobbling arrivals! I did however get the keys to the Citabria, so with a little more dual I’ll have a nice alternative to wile away the winter months!

BTW, thanks for the prior links, the readings were very helpful in visualizing what I need to do.

One more "ticket punch. More to go...and I can't wait to read about them. I think the master of the sky needs to couple that with being a master of reading the environment in which he flies next...like this video shows.
