According to judicial sources quoted today by the media, the individuals had made a normal life impossible for Fatima Ghailan, a 31-year-old Muslim born in Morocco but cultural mediation teacher in the Cunit Town Council, since she did not wear a Muslim veil…
Due to the threats and defamatory campaign she suffered, Ghailan became deeply depressed and was assigned a police escort, which has since been withdrawn. While awaiting the trial, the woman avoids leaving her house alone.
A sensible precaution, alas.

Fist of all, my congratulations and a deep admiration for your persona and blog, I have been reading it for years, pretty much thrrough out the world, I started in Spain, then Switzerland and now Australia where I reside (for now at least)
A lot of people in Cunit will get angry if you didn’t mention Cunit is in Catalonia as well.
There is more to the story, the Socialist Mayor, tried to stop the arrest of the Iman and tried to get the victim to withdraw the police report. The Mayor is so far down the slope of Muticulturalism she couldn’t foresee what was coming her way!, Catalans ans Spanish in general, know very well what Islam is all about, if you ask 98% of the people will tell you what they think of muslims or “moros” as we call them. As a former resident of Andalucia, I would suggest that if some FOA (Follower of Allah) does not feel safe in a town in Spain, or France, or Sweeden, or the United States, they have an option, and that option is to carry their happy arse back to the place where they do feel safe to practice their ways.
When I lived in Spain, and in Norway, I did not expect the locals to change for me; I worked hard to learn enough Spanish and Norwegian to survive. I did not run around with my patch emblazoned flight jacket to incite their ire. I tried to blend in and make life peaceful for all parties.
What ever happened to the adage “When in Rome, do as the Romans?” Maybe some justice as practiced by the religion of peace should be doled out on a one for one basis?
I am getting ready to go back to the litterbox (and all that it entails, both in the real and ethereal senses), and I will not go out of my way to stir the excrement vessel. But neither will I back down from a challenge, and when threatened, I, and by extension, my troopers, will use whatever force is needed to eliminate the threat.
Probably will need a good JAG person in my cargo pocket….I think LtCol Mackenzie would do for me….LOL.
