It’s probably a sign that the whole “Hitler parody” thing has run its course when I jump in.
Still. Everyone else was doing it.

Targets of Opportunityblog advertising is good for you Credo"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." -- John Paul Jones "Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Caesar and Cleopatra" "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friedrich Nietzsche "A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate."--Edmund Burke “You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. Well, as the Mythbusters say, “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth overdoing.”
That film segment is the gift that keeps on giving….
Right you are, Tim–a “once size fits all” all-purpose clip–the exception to the rule. ENDLESS possibilities…
Other than “medieval”, it’s perfect. Worth a hell of a lot of carbon credits, if nothing else.
I admit it, I too was seduced. Thing was, when something makes me laugh till I have tears in my eyes, how could I NOT post it. No shame Lex, no shame at all.
Bravo Zulu!
Is that the same as Baker Zebra?
It’s a Navy thing, Joe. Ya hadda be there…
LOL, no, just using a somewhat older alphabet. I think that one went out in about ’56.
‘Tis the same as the RN Dog George.
“Wiping their asses with a single sheet of toilet paper.”
I didn’t know Lex was a Cheryl Crow fan…
If you’ve ever seen her encore, with that exquisite leather clad booty shaking on top a piano, during her encore to Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll”…
Well. let’s just say that any guy, batting from my side of the plate, is a Sheryl Crow fan.
“It’s OK, he didn’t mean that about Starbucks”
I noticed you matched up Europe and blood in the soundtrack. Well Done, Sir!
I watched German TV when we lived over there in the late 60s. It was strange watching Hoss and Little Joe speak German. Our German friends liked Combat (on AFRTV out of Ramstein) – the German spoken on the show was real, not nonsense as it was so often in WW2 shows.
They did a pretty good job of dubbing Bonanza, though. The German speech matched the lips fairly well.
Hilarious! Laughed and laughed!!! Thank you, Lex!
“It’s probably a sign that the whole “Hitler parody” thing has run its course when I jump in.”
Wrong, wrong, WRONG! It is simply the best. I couldn’t reblog and embed it fast enough. I’ve urged others to pass it along. It encapsulates all the ways this whole rotten shebang is auguring into the ground nose first.
Thanks for that. That clip is the gift that keeps on giving. I’ll see your “Adolph” and raise you a “Little Liberals”.

[...] about the climate change scam specifically, but there are oh, so many other, wider applications. The best yet of these. And yes, I am aware that I say that pretty much every time. But only because it’s true, [...]
Riffing on Lex’s “Hitler hypes the natives” theme, Ann Althouse had a post up yesterday on the latest admissions by Phil Jones of the CRU @UEA in which trolls came out of the woodwork to defend AGW. But the guy who encapsulated it all–sort of a verbal equivalent of Lex’s Hitler, was a guy w. call-sign “Skookem John” who summed it up nicely:
“The global warming scam caught fire among the political and media elite for the same reason Keysenian economics did. Half-wit politicians like Al Gore may not know enough science to boil an egg, but they are veritable Feynmans when it comes up to new ways to enslave and impoverish the people.
When word got out of a new scientific theory that, if correct, would justify taxes on a scale never seen before, and government regulatory power over all facets of human existence, in the name of ‘saving the planet’, you damn betcha it was bound to become a religion.”
People here should drift on over to Althouse and read all 254+ comments. A fascinating read.
“Everyone else was doing it.” Sure, sure. And if all the other kids were jumping off the roof, I suppose you would too?
J/K, awesome work, Lex.
Well, I think we can safely say Godwin is dead. Full disclosure: I’ve posted at least two of these, too.
I too liked the line “he didn’t really mean it about Starbucks”. I know certain of my more liberal friends don’t believe that civilization exists at a location until a Starbucks arrives.
Congratulations – it got Instalanched.
I just wish you’d left the profanity out (or used alternative wording). There area few people I’d love to point to this…. but not with that language.
[...] This one is pretty funny. I like the conclusion. (ht American Digest, created by Neptunus Lex, and launched by [...]
Funny.
I wonder why Hollywood filmmakers have lost the ability to dress their actors properly? The freekin Nazis (both in reality, and in the movies of my youth) never wore uniforms that poorly.
Makes the whole thing look fake to me. But the climate part – that’s hilarious. I never bought one iota of the AGW pap. Not once, not ever. The people who did buy into this junk, owe me and a lot of people an apology.
They owe you some money as well.
In case anybody cares, this clips comes from the Oscar-nominated German movie “Downfall”. Just happened to have it in house from the Netfolks.
Good movie BTW.
Nice mention at American Digest this afternoon.

This is the best one of them all !!!
Thanks.
fucking amazing!
HotAir.com picked the video up as a link in Headlines. That is pretty big from an audience standpoint. IMHO, HotAir.com has a very good signal to noise ratio for a news blog.
Bravo Zulu, Lex. Bravo X-Ray.
Of course, I like all your writing. Would love to buy a hard cover of your book. Hint, hint. ☝✪.
Yeah,
When Hot Air links, you know you’ve done something good…..
BZ, CPT!… ya done right good there.
Anybody watch Charles Johnson at the once admirable Little Green Footballs continue his “nothing to see here” line? He’s like the knight in Monty Python, limb after limb hacked away, saying “only a scratch”.
He and his fellow True Believers have lost more limbs than ordinary morals have. The admission by Jones that data has been lost. Concession by Jones that medieval warming period might have been warmer. Bogus contention by Jones that lack of data about the Southern hemisphere during that time means we can’t conclude the medieval period actdually was warmer. (If we know if was warmer in the North, and know nothing about the south, either we conclude we don’t know enough about the historic data to be alarmist, or we make the natural inference that it probably was warmer during the medeval warming period.) Admission by Jones that many earlier periods of global warming in recent centuries. Admission of errors in the IPCC reports. Widespread appreciation that “hide the decline” meant discarding proxy data that “no longer works” without acknowledging that maybe tree ring dating didn’t work well as a proxy in many earlier centuries.
Have you noticed that the grand theories of alarmism, even if you accept their own hockey stick graph, is based on extrapolations from data which has a huge (degree up, degree down) margin of error? How can anyone in good conscience claim to know the science is settled when one forcing mechanism among many must be identified as dominant on the basis of such unsure information?
Overstating risks can kill people as much as ignorning them.
The overreaction DDT caused many deaths in the Third World.
The phoney scare about vaccines and autism. Now the premature drawing of dire conclusions about global warming..
Overreaction? Third World deaths?
Agent Orange (essentially DDT) has killed, is killing, and will kill many of our Vietnam Veterans well before their time.
The life-threatening diseases directly attributed to this defoliation agent are real. The deaths are also real, and the banning of DDT was hardly an “overreaction”. (Check out some of the horrendous birth defects online of children of those exposed, not to mention the parents still living, with their own multiple disabilities.)
Or just ask a Viet-Vet how many friends he has lost to Agent Orange poisoning compared to enemy fire.
I enjoyed the global warming Hitler video as entertaining. But it has no more value than a cartoon. Too much of the global warming argument is based upon political ideology. Far too little upon science. While I enjoy entertainment, and I enjoy politics, I place my belief and trust in good science based upon good data.
While I remain uncommitted, I am swayed by the science and the data, rather than the partisan politics, obfuscation, and entertainment.
I have a close friend who is not long for this world do to exposure to Agent Orange.
It’s distressing to me, and more so, obviously, to him. Yet, in the great scheme of things, Rachel Carlson has much more to answer for than those who approved the use of defoliation chemicals.
I’ll be at his side when he crosses over. Many a liberal will not notice the death of a child in Africa that might well have been prevented had DDT been used to clear away the typhoid and other diseases and pestilence-borne pathogens that Carlson and her brain-dead ilk allowed to exist through “feel good” laws/
Flit? Agent Orange was a defoliant and herbicide. DDT is a pesticide. DDT was sprayed in Europe and the South Pacific during World War 2, evidently without the lingering effects that Agent Orange seems to have had. I’m not saying AO isn’t still causing problems, but it’s not DDT, which was sprayed all over the US in the 40′s with no appreciable ill effects on humans. There were possibly some effects on birds of prey, but one has to wonder how the rabbit eats the ddt-laden grass, the eagle eats the rabbit, and what didn’t harm the rabbit suddenly makes birds extinct. I’m not quite certain that the science was particularly well done in that particular claim.
Now if you want to control mosquitoes and malaria, flooding the swamps with oil seems to have worked OK during the building of the Panama Canal, so, you know, we could do that again if it would make you feel better.

Dude;
I refrain from even engaging over there, just use it as a news clipping service, and to keep posting good reports from troop support and military stories (and Lex’s and the Salmander’s FbF stuff!).
I have a difficult time when those who “know the truth” then shout down anyone who is not a “scientist,” when the shouters themselves have either been musicians, coders, and or print media experts, yet somehow are able to tell which scientists are correct and which ones are not.
We can walk down the street with the big boom mike and ask someone not subject to any more than sending in a card on the 18th year of life anniversary, on how the past president was prosecuting the war and take that “seasoned” judgment to the voters are a real measure.
Somehow, “we” fail to question the same when it comes to Governmental health care (for the young, inexperienced, still maturing, invulnerable among us) to test against eh same standard. We can ask them about “saving the planet” (so it will still not yet be a ball of fire when the Sun goes Red Giant on us and the other of the first 4 planets (a scientific prediction – been around a long, long time) and also accept their “wisdom” as oh so omniscient and sage…again to inform the voters.
Anyhow, the left (and The WON) demand civility and also “bi-partisanism,” then close the very window they just opened and tell the world how no one will help them.
This AGW is but a method to play out (IMHO) the self loathing we have come to demand of ourselves, having sprung (IMHO once more) from too much “free” time on “our” hands.
We are no longer the mandated “Good Stewards,” we are the hated infection, sent by a vindictive being, to destroy all that is good about trees growing, dying and rotting, and animals peeing in the stream with no regard for their fellow animals on the short end of the gravity stick, needing the same water later on….but I digress.
Charles has become oh s strident in his knowledge of all things, and seems to have the “answers” to “the Great Whys?” Sad…it used to be a place to actually have a debate without being banned for not thinking with what ever the group of the day thuught is mandated.
Indeed….. Margaret Sanger has a whole lot of blood on her hands for the lie about DDT. Silent Spring was one of the finest bits of leftist propaganda ever penned. Right up there with the “Protocols”.
Well said, shipmate. Well said.
Sorry…. typing while listening to the young’n talk to me. “Rachel Carlson” wrote “Silent Spring”. Margaret Sanger was a eugenicist who supported abortion & forced sterilization as a means of eliminating non-whites from the United States. Her work eventually led directly to Planned Parenthood, and all their attendant evils.
Silent Spring killed millions. Search “better dead than alive and riotously reproducing”. The withholding of the use of DDT in certain areas to control the population. How? Malaria. Read for yourself. Death is not always meted out by the dictator. Sometimes death comes from behind a desk.
There has never been anything wrong with DDT. Even the nutcakes at the UN have figured that out and are allowing its use on a, for now, limited basis.
Were you also aware of the racist side of Darwin? The relationship tweenst him and Sanger? whoa…

Excellent – I thought I was last.
But hey, Allah liked yours better … sniff …
2 peas from the same pod. Both nice in their own way…
Brilliant, Lex!
This was brilliant. The best “Hitler parody thing” I’ve seen.
1st time here at your site (followed the bread crumbs leading from Hot Air’s link).
I’m here on accounta HA. If I doan get chased off, I’ll see ya roun’.
Good stuff! Excellent screen writing.
Bravo Zulu Lex–
The Hitler Downfall parody viral is not played out if it’s played right and you played it beautifully. Informed, witty, and obnoxious all at once, the best satire.
OK, it made me laugh out loud.
OUTSTANDING! One of the cleverest pieces I’ve EVER seen! It was belly laughs, nearly to tears. You sir are one talented satirist.
