It’s easy to tell the difference between the two.
It’s all about body positioning.

Targets of Opportunityblog advertising is good for you Credo"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." -- John Paul Jones "Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Caesar and Cleopatra" "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friedrich Nietzsche "A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate."--Edmund Burke “You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours.”--General Sir Charles Napier "Μολὼν λαβέ" -- Leonidas "Blogito Ergo Sum" -- Neptunus Lex Amazon AssociateFor the Effort!Winnar!![]() Subscribe![]() CategoriesPagesTagsacademy

Sums it up pretty nicely.
That will never make the front page.
Sniper always has some good motivational posters. Some good pics, too… especially if you like teachers.
Ahem…
Oh, I don’t know, Joe. Maybe it just has to get to the right front page person.
Either way, seeing the little critter down low behind the GI makes me wonder what the hell they’re doing there. That ain’t exactly a day at the NASCAR track.
I wonder if the Jihadists consider the future in heaven for their sacrificial human armor? Do pre-pubescent children sacrificed for Allah get 70 wet nurses instead of virgins?
Personally, I’m more concerned with the final state of the Jihadist using said prepubescent shield. I very seriously doubt it will be the place with 72 virgins. 72 Demons is much more likely. All dedicated to his personal misery.
Steven, I understand their belief can be summarized
“Can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs”.
Maybe “Oh, well”
And finally “A few sacrifices are necessary to achieve the goal”
As far as jihadists go, I’m remembering a great story about Black Jack Pershing, an unregenerate but great general who lived in and fought for our country before political correctness tainted the purity and vigor of our patriotism. [Now if the old memory has failed me again, please correct me.] It seems that his military force was in conflict with some Muslims somewhere or other [see why I need a little help?] And he put out a statement to the effect that if his forces captured these Muslims, he would line them up for execution with bullets smeared with pork fat, to send them into the Great Beyond in a sinful state. And that he would bury each one wrapped in pigskin, to ensure their unacceptability in a Mohammedan Paradise.
This legend is paired in my mind with a remembrance of a British commanding officer during the reign of the British Raj in India, who was faced with the problem of an Indian widow who was going to be submitted to the traditional custom of ‘suttee’, or incineration of said widow on her husband’s funeral pyre. The Brit informed the Indian officials, that he would be erecting a scaffold next to the funeral pyre, and that if the officials persisted in incinerating the widow along with her husband’s body, that he [the Brit] would be hanging the officials right alongside the pyre.
Sometimes justice is simple and forceful and the message is very clear. By the way, the widow was not incinerated, and the scaffold was unpopulated — at least that day.
Marianne
Marianne,
The Muslims you refer to were the Moro in Mindanao Philippines. Unfortunately, Black Jack only suppressed them for a few years. They’re back in being.
juvat … Thanks so much for filling me in on the Muslims in the Philippines. It is unfortunate that Black Jack only suppressed them for a few years. Can you, or anyone else here tell me how many Muslims there are now on the entire planet? My computer skills are iffy, as far as looking up statistics, and in this case there are a number of estimates on the links.
On the other hand, my trusty computer is the best memory aid an old person can have. I feel quite sympathetic to those people of my age who have not succumbed to the lure of computing. It helps to keep us in touch with what’s going on out in our world far better than the dead tree media.
Marianne
Marianne,
In my highly scientific perusal of google, I surmised that no one knows. I saw answers as high as 2.3B with would be about 1 in 3 and strikes me as WAAAY to high. This site cited several different sources ranging from .7B to 1.2B which seems more reasonable.
