Isn't what Gibbs and the other Democrats doing called "trash talking" when it refers to sports like baseball? I'm not a baseball expert nor do I watch baseball on TV because my husband, like most Texans, is such a worshiper at the Temple of Football that he collapses, exhausted, when the football season finally ends. But in my youth I did go to baseball games, both pro and semi-pro. And one of my favorite sports movies is Bull Durham, an excellent and realistic portrayal of the good, and bad, aspects of minor league baseball.

Anyway ... it seems to me that the Democrats, who aren't very grown-up anyway in most things, are trash talking about the healthcare bill because they feel they can intimidate us grown-ups into giving up and going along. I don't think so, boys and girls. Folks out here in the real world are very aroused and upset by this corrupt power grab. And they aren't giving up. Meanwhile, Nancy and her minions are giving us an up-close-and-personal view of just how corrupt D.C. politics are.

By the way, my new best friend, Senator Centerfold [Downtown Scottie Brown, as his basketball team-mates called him], gives the weekly Republican speech on just how bad the healthcare bill is, delivering his indictment in measured, calm and effective tones. Told you guys, he's more than just a pretty face and a great bod -- he's a 30-year veteran Lt. Colonel in the National Guard, a JAG lawyer and --hello -- he does what he promised to do. The video of his speech is on the Internet on several sites, and it's a winner.

I notice that NPR won't mention the "Slaughter Rule" on-air: they keep using fluff-words like "methods" to refer to Pelosi's planned tactics. The White House has no doubt instructed the lapdog media to not "spook the herd" before they get us to the slaughter-house.

The stench of dishonor, corruption, and hypocrisy in the newsrooms of America must be truly awful.

Just ask Pelosi. "We need to pass it so then you can find out what's in it."

Which one might take to mean that the whole country would gag if we were to find out in advance exactly what they are attempting to shove down our throats, or up our Obamas.

G-Man

Maybe it's me but when I hear " Softening", all that cane to mind is what would happen to your Man-Tool when you went into a place looking for a little action only to find out the woman you got was really Nancy Pelosi - aaaaaauuuugghhhh!!!!

"Softening" would be the kindest word to describe what would be happening to your little soldier at that moment....kinda like the DEMS, all gone limp - and just as useless as a limp D*CK.

The ironic thing to me is that in 91, CNN had great coverage of Desert Storm, and beginning at that time, I stopped watching the regular networks. It seemed that Desert Storm "made" CNN - and as if some evil pauper subsequently replaced the prince. Was I so blind in the beginning, or did they really change?

Softening, h3ll! They're just plain lying to us! They don't care, they make promises and they brake them. It's their "M.O."

Obama is trying to keep one promise he made during his campaign... to transform America.
