Targets of Opportunityblog advertising is good for you Credo"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." -- John Paul Jones "Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Caesar and Cleopatra" "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friedrich Nietzsche "A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate."--Edmund Burke “You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours.”--General Sir Charles Napier "Μολὼν λαβέ" -- Leonidas "Blogito Ergo Sum" -- Neptunus Lex Amazon AssociateFor the Effort!Winnar!![]() Subscribe![]() CategoriesPagesTagsacademy

I’ve had disagreements with wired, but I like what Poulson says about Greenwald, and it fits my own oberservations,
“Greenwald descends into antics that shouldn’t pass muster at any serious news outlet.”
Salon is certainly not a serious news outlet. It’s just another left-wing internet rag.
+1
Red (or pink)…
PINK PANTIES with a scratchy knot in them……damn the lefty liberal weenies….let’s spend stimulus funds to send them to Europe….easier than allowing them to turn our country into EUROPE……G-d damn the self hating idjits….
MY COUNTRY, RIGHT or WRONG….as these colors don’t run!!
Now, that would be an excellent use for “stimulous”funds. Tell ‘em you’ll buy ‘em a one way ticket to their choice of European countries, then give them a ticket to Burkino Faso, or Chad instead.
How’s about a one-way ticket to the AF/Pak Border zone for the lib weenies?? Or maybe the Lefty Libbies can open a chapter in Helmand…..that would be the ticket….then send in the Military to resuce them as they pee their pants once they *see* (truly see) how dangeroues the world is and how much we owe to our brave Men & Women in uniform….
Damn the idjits….send them packing I say !
Saharan or Sub-Saharan Africa has the advantage of them not being able to gum up anything for our boys in AFG.
If they wanted to be human shields, I’d have no objections. They need to understand, however, that ball ammo will fully penetrate their human shield.
What color is the sky in the world of someone who thinks Manning is a hero and a martyr?
Sorry – comment was supposed to be to Dave.
You can get your flight chit pulled for lack of attention to detail, Yak…get with da program!
Agreed. Manning as liberal hero just BOGGLES my mind.
I wonder if the commenter Robert Waldmann is a Greenwald sockpuppet. it certainly sounds like Greenwald, and he’s been known to do that.
Are you implying that Greenwald is not a sock puppet?
Here’s a classic from Patterico about His “alleged” sockpuppetry:
http://patterico.com/2006/07/27/annotated-wuzzadem-the-facts-behind-the-greenwald-sock-puppetry/
Also, they guy’s arguments were already addressed in the article he was commenting on. That didn’t stop him from cyring “LIBEL!!!!11!!eleventy!1!”
Greenwald. “spit…” ptooey.
I have no love lost for Wired, but they are entirely in the right on this case.
Thanks for that link. I’ve been so disgusted with Greenwald that was gratifying.
Poulson pretty well fisked Greenwald. he’s had it coming for sometime too.
I think the French term “Idee fixe” applies to Greenwald these days..
Some of these people would think of Aldrich Ames as a hero:

Is anyone really surprised? This IS Greenwald, after all.
I was going to post a comment about the sock-puppet Greenwald, but it turns out that you have to go into re-hab if you refer to him…
Then I guess we’ll have to report. Lex included. I doubt Lex would mind as long as it’s well lubed with Guinness.
What was interesting was reading the linked chat logs of the Manning-Lamo chats. Manning was dismayed by just how easy it was to do what he did.
Dang! Did I kill yet another thread?
Don’t think so JTG, though your powers are increasing.
Saw your post about meeting Goldberg. I had not known that he, like Asimov, had died of an HIV related illness.
The reason for Asimov’s death was not publicly known until almost twenty years after his death when his widow, Janet, published “It’s Been a Good Life”.
A bit late, but very best wishes for a great New Year for all.
