Targets of Opportunityblog advertising is good for you Credo"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." -- John Paul Jones "Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Caesar and Cleopatra" "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friedrich Nietzsche "A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate."--Edmund Burke “You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours.”--General Sir Charles Napier "Μολὼν λαβέ" -- Leonidas "Blogito Ergo Sum" -- Neptunus Lex Amazon AssociateFor the Effort!Winnar!![]() Subscribe![]() CategoriesPagesTagsacademy

And we wonder why “Bullying” occurs at schools?? Because idjits like this putz are enabling it because he practices it himself…Look at this definition of “Bullying” and see how it fits in with the fools in Wisconsin
Intentional Oppression
•Bullying involves an imbalance of power between a powerful aggressor and a powerless victim. Bullies abuse power in order to instill fear in their victims. Such abuses of power are not accidental, but rather are intentional. Additionally, bullies often gain satisfaction not only from possessing more power than their peers but also in engaging in systematic victimization of their peers

The Unions have been practicing this tactic for years and it shows you how they are without honor or integrity…and the shame of it all is we trust these cretins to teach the children…WTF?
$95,000 per year for 9 months’ work – and he’s complaining?
That guy is Warren Zevon in disguise!?
(“Excitable Boy”–third Album–Lex is gettin’ all hipster on us)
VX while Lex is getting all hipster on us, the DNC and the AFL CIO are sending Lawyers, Guns & Money to Wisconsin.
“Lawyers, Guns & Money?” You mean Robert Farley, SEK and the rest of those lefty academic group bloggers are getting PAID to go to Wisc?
Just to give you a little chuckle, and a glimpse of Karma coming down the pike…
I’m in school on the fast track to getting my AA in English, and my BA in Education… Yep, I’m going to be a teacher.
Think about it… *evil laugh*
Chortle…I can hear it from here, SGT B.
Sgt B,
Tread carefully, as if you are threading a mine field, when you become an educator.
My wife’s aunt, who retired from LA Unified School System, after teaching for 30 years told stories of high school girls who would swear on a stack of bibles that their male science teacher sexually harassed them because he would not inflate their grades.
It has reached that stage.
That and/or the other staff will say they SAW you do it as a way to submarine you otta there…..They are feckless bastards who would sell their own Mother….it is to weep.
Sgt B –
John Taylor Gatto. Start with “Dumbing Us Down.” Most everything that he wrote is online somewhere, just google it, and he has his own site, http://www.johntaylorgatto.com.
30 years a teacher, 3 times NYC Teacher of the Year, 1 time New York State teacher of the year, Gatto knows what he is talking about.
If you don’t read him, you deserve the Hell you’re jumping into.
Warning received, with gratitude… I’ll still steer on my current heading, but we’ll keep the pickets out.
We’ve got a version of this crud going on here in Idaho. Education is more than 50% of the state budget and is in deep trouble. The Governor and the State Superintendent of Education have come up with a plan, which is painful, but keeps the budget balanced and our kids being taught. The Teachers union is fighting the plan tooth and nail in the media. When asked what they would do instead they only say, “Go back to the drawing board and start over.” And teachers are telling our kids lies about the plan and emailing lies to our home email.
Makes me sick. I’m glad my last two kida are a Senior (goes to Great Lakes in June) and a Junior. I hate to see what these moonbats will be doing in a generation.
Per my comment on Gatto above, “Education” is the single largest business in America. Incredible amounts of money go into it, and the more money that goes in, the worse our students become.
Gatto explains why.
I couldn’t get the clip to work here at the office. I’ll have to watch it at home.
I will say this, the “education” lobby has never been about education, it’s always been about the teachers and padding their nest. The kids aren’t even on the list of priorities. They’re just the ostensible excuse.
Just to give you a little bit of it, the moonbat teacher shouted “Fox Lied!” over and over, even when the reporter asked him if he had a comment. Then the reporter said, “I guess he only knows two words.”
I just got to it. I see what you mean. That man is a moron. Hopefully they will see his fraud and fire him. I’m not going to hold my breath, however.
I cringe when I see idiots like that. I am also shocked at that salary/benefits figure. I have taught for close to 15 years (in 2 states,) with time in the private sector mixed in, and I don’t know anyone who makes even half of that figure. I accept my salary, and work a second job while raising 3 kids as a single parent, and understand it is not a profession that will make me rich. I cringe when I see articles or reports such as this and read the resulting response; it frustrates me to hear people dismiss the hard work and extremely long hours I put in without really having any idea of my workload, ethics, or dedication. That said, I understand how such attitudes develop when morons like the man seen in the fox video are seen to speak for all teachers. The silent majority of good, dedicated, professional, teachers suffers as a result. I do not belong to a teacher’s union (I teach and coach in a Catholic school,) but I have seen the positive and negative impact of those unions. My 2 cents…the greater the political power of these unions, the further from their intended purpose they seem to drift. Just a piece of mind from a guy doing a slow burn over the whole issue.
Cheers!
At $100k a year/9mos I would think they would be very far from the demos and quietly in their classrooms…lest layoffs occur.
