Daughter numba one’s new hubbie is from Texas. Poor ole boy hardly got a decent education. Had to take the SAT THREE times just to improve 20 points. 1580 to 1600 on the old scale. He had 8 groomsmen in the wedding party – all from Texas. 4 doctors (including one that got a PhD and MD in 4 years), 2 lawyers, one doctor of divinity, and one slug with only an MS in geo-engineering. yeah Texas edumakayshun sucks.
Krugman also failed to note that CA has a worse rate yet spends far more per student than Texas.
We need one of those Dragnet or raving Hitler parodies on Krugman.

I live in the bluest of Blue states, Massachusetts – Texas may have poor education record but our state is dumb enough to keep the morons in the state house, especially Obama’s buddy Deval ” Spend-it-all” Patrick…For alledgely being a seat of higher education, our voters act pretty stupid at the ballot box.
Now, if we can get rid of the TOOLs that are in the White House and retire the TOOLS that cheer for him in the Liberal media, we will be much better off.
Oh, no, there are way more morons in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts than will fit under the Sacred Cod. Fortunately, Harvard has a large endowment and thus has plenty of faculty seats.
Professor Krugman has NEVER let facts get in the way of a good rant. And like our Ear Leader, he’s won the Nobel Prize. I’m told that Krugman’s Nobel Prize was for actual substantive work in economics–and if so good for him.

wow, Iowahawk, never fails to impress me…taking on Krugman was marvelous…someone mentioned CA…in LAUSD a wag (now retired) said the solution was simple…take the teachers from the A schools and send them to the F schools(South Central)and the F school teacher to the A schools…it begins with the parents, they school the kids before teachers get them…it’s up to the parents to give the kids a proper attitude towards education…i had 3 girls that were delivering babies before their 14th birthday in my algebra class…my first year at VNHS we had 3 out of 12 (for the district) and 3 of 24 (for the state) score perfect SATs…
