The War Powers Act is inoperable over Libya, according to our president. No US personnel are in danger, or actively engaged in hostilities.

Air Force and Navy aircraft are still flying hundreds of strike missions over Libya despite the Obama administration’s claim that American forces are playing only a limited support role in the NATO operation.
An Africa Command (AFRICOM) spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday that since NATO’s Operation Unified Protector (OUP) took over from the American-led Operation Odyssey Dawn on March 31, the U.S. military has flown hundreds of strike sorties. Previously, Washington had claimed that it was mostly providing intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) and tanker support to NATO forces operating over Libya.
“U.S. aircraft continue to fly support [ISR and refueling] missions, as well as strike sorties under NATO tasking,” AFRICOM spokeswoman Nicole Dalrymple said in an emailed statement. “As of today, and since 31 March, the U.S. has flown a total of 3,475 sorties in support of OUP. Of those, 801 were strike sorties, 132 of which actually dropped ordnance.”
I wonder if we have simply become so inured to the notion of politicians lying to us that we find it unremarkable.

Naturally, the Senate largely remains mum on the situation, yet it’s the House that really galls me. It shouldn’t really, since we’re right back to the politicians lying to us notion. I’m upset with myself for believing that a John Boehner led House would really be any different. They fooled us the first time around, shame on them…
In the beginning with Obama I used to believe him a pathological liar, but Mark Levin set me straight one day by calling him a serial liar. It made me stop and think. Pathological liars believe their own lies, while serial liars simply live life by telling one lie after another. Clever, intelligent, and quite capable, but never really having what it takes to live a life of truth. That’s Barack Obama. Always living in the shadow of a lie, and never truly being able to come into the light of day. I could pity him were it not for his unbridled audacity, which is to say he believes himself empowered to lie to the American people at will and without penalty.
Aside from his believing himself empowered to lie to us, what troubles me most is he and Michelle having two daughters who will grow up being taught to become serial liars themselves. From two comes four, and so it will propagate. The daughters I pity and can only hope and pray for them that a certain light will come into their lives, allowing them the opportunity to discern a better way to go. If they would only take it.
Can be no honesty without first self-honesty. Our president appears to have been born without any.

I mean, that would really annoy the neighbors if there were all sorts of Men In Black blocking the street with their Suburbans, arguing about whether the SS gets to go first, or the FSB, or the HSUS, or the DoE(ducation) or the DoE(nergy), or the ADL, or the SPLC, or the FDA, or the BATFEces, or NOAA’s SWAT team (I am a Global Warming skeptic.)
, or the Federal Reserve Shock Squad, or some really, really scary guys from Goldman, Sachs.
And then there are the Bilderbergers, and the Illuminated Masons, and Opus Dei, and I’ll tell the world, what’s a weird guy who just wants to mind his own business and live a quiet life with his kitteh supposed to do?
