Last Ones Out

The final 20,000 US soldiers will leave Iraq late next month. They go wondering whether they will be treated to some sort of spectacular attack, and whether any of it will have made a difference.

Meanwhile, for those they leave behind – especially those who grew up knowing little but tyranny and war – there’s a quest to re-make their society into something worth living in, and for.

Good luck to them all.

Interestingly enough, attacks at some of the bases where US troops are already departed have dropped from 10-15 a day to 0 in the last week or so, according to Department of State contractors who remain.

After we leave the place will descend into a 3rd world Islamic hell hole. Things were bad under Saddam’s Baathist regime, but it took a strongman to keep a lid on the Islamocrazies.

I think the one’s that want to go to the US have the right idea. But, we don’t need anymore Islamic immigrants. In fact we need to send most of the ones we have back to where they came from.

    • “…we need to send most of the ones we have back to where they came from.”

Hear, hear. For 10 years we’ve been hearing, “We have to fight them there so we won’t have to fight them here.” Tell me if this doesn’t make more sense: “If they AREN’T here, we won’t have to fight them here.”

What would an Islam-free America be like? Culturally impoverished? Well, yeah…we’d see a downtick in honor killings and instances of FGM. Bet we could cope with that, though. Economic collapse without the vibrant Islamic business community to keep things going? I crack myself up.

But what about all those “peaceful, moderate muslims?” Yeah, what about ‘em? Where are the rallies where thousands of them march to proclaim their love and support for the US? Where are the passionate denuciations of Islamic violence from the “moderate” community? “Well, most of them don’t want violence…” Perhaps not, but whose side do you suppose they’ll be on when the Koran hits the fan?

Islam is radically incompatible with our Constitution and our cultural institutions. Connect the dots.

I have read that as the end of the Vietnam War approached, more and more combat aircraft suffered unrepeatable systems faults on the ground. No one wanted to call anyone out on it, because no one wanted to be the last pilot shot down / killed / captured in Vietnam.

These soldiers don’t get that option, but like anyone else, none of them wants to be the last soldier to die in Iraq.

Iraq will have to make it work on their own. They have immense oil wealth and have been given the tools. Let’s see if they are able to make them work…Iraq has infrastructure and the basics in place. AFGHN will have a tougher time as they do not have the infrastructure Iraq has and lack a ” national identiy “. Iraqis know they are Iraqis….Afghanis are totally tribal.

Time will tell…..last one out, please turn out the lights paid for by our tax dollars. Thanks !

Good luck Iraq, many of you deserve it.

And when Iraq loses the cultural battle with the Iranian Shi’ites, and sinks into militant, sharia, Islamofascism–will *that* be called a “victory” by this administration??
