Where do you go when the thrill of cruising the Swiss Alps in your jet backpack is gone?
You go flying in formation with the Breitling L-39 team.
Good work if you can get it.

Targets of Opportunityblog advertising is good for you Credo"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." -- John Paul Jones "Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Caesar and Cleopatra" "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friedrich Nietzsche "A kind Providence has placed in our breasts a hatred of the unjust and cruel, in order that we may preserve ourselves from cruelty and injustice. They who bear cruelty, are accomplices in it. The pretended gentleness which excludes that charitable rancour, produces an indifference which is half an approbation. They never will love where they ought to love, who do not hate where they ought to hate."--Edmund Burke “You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours.”--General Sir Charles Napier "Μολὼν λαβέ" -- Leonidas "Blogito Ergo Sum" -- Neptunus Lex Amazon AssociateFor the Effort!Winnar!![]() Subscribe![]() CategoriesPagesTagsacademy

IIRC, Yves Rossy’s jet pack maxes out at 185 mph and cruises at 125 mph. Looks like the L-39 have full flaps set for the formation flight. Conformation from our cast of savvy aviators would be nice, since I’m but a lowly former shoe.
so where do you hang the missiles? and guns?
SF Insertion?
A Gyro-Jet pistol in a shoulder holster and a SAW on a sling.

This genre of flight has made significant contributions to what is possible. It is from these pioneers that we make progress, not from bloody Government Programs. (Usually these folks are superb athletes, accomplished professionals and often have advanced STEM degrees). I could not do it now, but I do applaud these innovators.
Progress by individuals, not by Government Fiat.
Being a commando Cody and Rocketeer fan, I’m glad I lived to see this….
I want one…
Was I the only one with bottom google ad for “Easy Cremation Planning” running during the vid?
The guy’s a former fighter-pilot himself, iirc, no?
Yep, and an Air Force type -ergo the intrepid part.
And a few years ago a man flying without a plane near a pair of jets was only a VFX scene in Iron Man…
I do hope he can find peace in his old age
…rather than pieces of him we in our old age find.
He’s a Swiss air force pilot and flew Bugs. I believe he may also be a swissair one, too. he’s flown the English Channel and the Grand Canyon since his debut kin the Alps. I’ve thought, since seeing the original videos that our SF/SEL Teams could benefit greatly, only witha a sled version…complete with some compartments for equipment to keep the drag coefficient down. Tell me you wouldn’t get a big “HOOYAH!” for buying them some.
“Good work if you can get it”…sounds like someone else we all know and love.
Can anyone think of a reason he’s not in formation with a group of Jetpersons?
Chris; I’m sensing is Lex’s next gig. two hornet pilots. And anyone needing a parachute is welcome to it….
