“Man, she musta been really important…but why???”
You know, it really pains me to think that sometime down the line there will be a generation of kids researching history who will looking at the media content from the last few days and will have to draw the conclusion that Anna Nicole Smith was a Person Of Great Importance in our society. There will be research done to find out why this was the case.
 I’m ashamed to think of what conclusions might be drawn about “us” as a result of that research.

I’m ashamed now…It’s revolting to see the way people fawn and idolized someone who if you just took away about 99% of the money involved, would simply just look like gold-digging trailertrash.
BTW, any info I get about this comes second hand…I rather not waste one second of my life reading or watching anything (beyond this article)

Brian, this has been going on for quite some time. I admit this is second hand as I have not opened a public school history book since, well a long time, but I’ve been told Marilyn Monroe commands pages of text while lesser lights such as Lincoln and Washington are lucky to get a paragraph, something to do with revisionist history.

I’m ashamed now, too. I really tried to catch some news, but couldn’t turn my TV on for the last few days without seeing or hearing something about her, so just kept turning it off & turning to the internet.
