It’s starting again, even if in a microcosm. Except that microcosm could reverberate around the world, depending upon the verdict.

This week a French court in Paris is set to rule on a lawsuit against satirical magazine “Charlie Hebdo” for the reprinting of the infamous Mohammed cartoons. 

And here we are again – feet to the fire by yet another Muslim group (this time the Grand Mosque of Paris and the Union of French Islamic Organisations). Claiming that because images of Mohammed are forbidden under Islamic law, that Muslims the world over have been “stigmatized” by the publication of the cartoons.  read more…

Hmm…scary stuff. Just recently, a Canadian court was petitioned to accept Shiria law as the dominant authority in a case. Fortunately, the court had enough sense to see it for what it was and ruled against the petitioning parties,

I thught I answered your question, but I don’t see my comment. Anyway…I’m almost positive it was Canadian. There is aremote possibility that was an English cout though. I believe the issue was a civil matter.
