You're looking for someone to give them away to you when you should be trying to find someone who deserves them. Find somebody, hopefully somebody that works for you that has the potential but doesn't believe yet. Make him/her believe. Show them the way. Get them across the gate. And then, when they get commissioned, pass along your boards and butter bars. And then pass along this: Find someone who deserves these. Someone who has the potential but doesn't believe yet. Just one piece of advice: When speaking to anyone in the Air Force on the phone, refer to yourself as "Lieutenant Junior Grade" and say it fast. They aren't that familiar, and there is always the chance you said "Lieutenant General" and THAT scares the snot out of them. You can get pretty much anything you need out of them. Once in Panama, a USAF Captain walked a briefing book a couple of blocks to our ready room "to save you the trip, Sir." Should have seen the look on his face when I took it from him and thanked him. Thought the guys I was flying with were going to have a heart attack they were laughing so hard. Nose Jeop,
