Request Time
My son Jim at Thinking Right, inspired by Matt at Black Five, has begun a project to put a letter from home into the hands of every Marine in 1st Battallion, 1st Regiment, 1st Division US Marines. What I’m asking is, that those of you with blogs, please put up a short post requesting that your readers send a short encouraging email to the following address:
Jim will sort thru them, make sure that only encouraging letters are sent, print them out, and then forward them to his contact at 1st MarDiv. His goal is 1000. This will put one letter into the hands of every marine and sailor in the battalion.
Many of you are heavy hitters and have a large readership; so, a short post from you will reach a great many folks.

Guy – had no idea “Jim C.” was your son! My blog is no heavy hitter by any stretch, but I’ll happily put up a post about this, and will contribute my own letter as well.

Skippy-san: the infamous Snake Eater gave us the “Lex Babes” appellation last summer (I believe). Something about fighting back against Jessica Simpson in her flag bikini…
