Again, as a photographer I am in awe of getting shots like this one. Of any plane…takes as much skill to get the shot as it does to fly the plane. Just of a different sort – artists on both sides.

“Prettier”?
That thing’s got a face only a mother could love? It’s a flying drumstick. Double ugly!

Points for degree of difficulty – nothin’ unique about a Hornet pulling vapes. Now a station wagon…and having flown in the station wagon I’m w/Jeopardy ![]()

Have you seen this year’s OAG Final Report? Says they want digital flight controls (similar to that back-fitted to the F-14) for the E-2D…

DFCS? Why on earth?
How about something germane, like an aural warning on the RADALT?
I’ll never understand our community…

After 124’s mishap, we had the perfect opportunity to scream for a little, just a little bit of $$ to put into the FRONT of the aircraft. IMHO, Turbo screwed the proverbial pooch by not banging on the RADALT drum.
In the 120 mishap, one of the LSOs saw what was happening and got six “CLIMB!” calls out on the radio before the plane hit the water – so whaterver the problem was, they had their hands pretty full.
