Maybe he did. I expected the same. But it could certainly be argued that whatever his intent may have been is irrelevant. The road to hell is paved with intentions of some sort, right? Its not intent, its effect that matters. Watch it sometime on DVD then. Just try to keep an open mind until you get to the (rather abrupt) end. Kris, you could be right. Maybe he did. Also - I have no patience with Hollyweird's depiction of current events, especially the GWOT. Redford is about as liberal as it gets, even for Tinseltown. And while it may appear that movie could be interpreted to back up either side of the issue, I believe that he made it to reinforce his own liberal view.
