Lunar Eclipse
Did you see it? There won’t be another one until late in the year 2010. It was truly spectacular to watch the shadow of Earth pass over the Moon. It took me quite a bit of trial and error (mostly error unfortunately – taking pictures of an object with its own unique luminescence is notoriously difficult) to capture any pictures of the event. The one here is at about 10:00pm EST – you can see the shadow starting to turn red.
It was only about 10 degrees out last night, so I couldn’t manage to stay outside for the whole thing. But what I did see was really incredible. Go here for more pics…

Spousal Unit and I sat in our Jacuzzi in Jacksonville, which has a East West view. Enjoyed the moon turning a dark red, and luxuriated in the fine 65 degree F evening.
