JAS
Wandered into a certain Captain’s blog in the summer of ’06, felt at home, and haven’t left since.
Born in the Detroit area, to military parents (Dad – Lt. Cmdr, USN, ret.; Mom – 1st Lieut, US Army, ret.). Married a great guy, left the familiar stomping grounds and headed to Wisconsin in the ’80s for grad school. Fell in love with the Land of the Cheeseheads, and haven’t thought of living anywhere else since.
Worked at two Big 10 universities, then moved into private industry as a researcher and research design specialist (yeah, yeah, one of those boring statisticians). Hit a major pothole, which left me with just enough functioning parts to view the universe through a voice-controlled ‘puter – not always fun, but sure beats the alternative.
Have a website the husband helped me put together (Tau Topics) and just started blogging back in December ’06 (Butter Side Down: Observations From the Wrong Side of the Toast). Feel free to poke your nose through the door and visit any time.

‘Cept I’m not even military, either.
And odds are I’m tied for the youngest in this group so far.
No worries. Just giving you a hard time…

LOL – I’m betting I’m close to the furthest point at the other end of the generational spectrum hanging around here.
Which means I’m just a whisker away from being a year or so older than Lex… not that I’d ever tease Lex about anything, of course!

LMAO! We’ve got at least one regular (who hasn’t registered yet) that I estimate is in his early sixties at least. So, I think you’re well covered.

Fbl, I’ll bet I’ve got that unregistered regular beat in the age thing. I think I’m the oldest hanger-on.
