Above all else, a Canadian and (usually) proud of it! Use to be a lawyer in a former lifetime (remember, Lex said BE NICE!), now I just play one on TV. Three kids -one each of the teenage and almost teenage variety and then there’s the one I married. Been reading Lex since July August ’06; he hooked me with Rhythms and now I appear to be here to stay.Â
Passions in life – my kids;Â law (I currently work as a legal analyst); helping children with special needs and their families get legal assistance when they need it; reading; White Russians (the drink, not the people); travel (if only I could do more!)
Addictions – books, good coffee, this amazing blog I came across once upon a time
“Things I’ll do Before I Die” – sky dive; hang glide; return to Europe; maybe, just maybe, fly a plane - wonder if I can fly inverted?

Michelle,
You don’t have to be a good pilot to fly inverted.
You only have to be a good pilot if you want to do it more than once!
Great bio.

Don’t take the “ratting out” comment personally. Pinch and I trade jabs quite often.
BTW, I may be trapped down south but I have roots up your way. My mother’s parents crossed from New Brunswick but they didn’t get too far. Settled in Houlton, Maine just across the border. We still have a family cabin on a small lake outside town. I try my best to escape up there every summer. Spent a couple of months up there last year in between jobs while working on my novel.
My wife and I explored around the north end of the Bay of Fundy a few years back. Beautiful country up that way.
I always enjoy the last few hours of the trip to the camp. Once you get north of Bangor the traffic thins out and the smells of the North Woods welcome me back.
Hope you’ve got plent of firewood left!!

Steve, its cool – I wasn’t taking the comment personally. I actually thought it was quite funny when I mosed over to Pinch’s and saw the comments.
Yep, it is beautiful around the Bay of Fundy. Unfortunately, I’ve never made it to the New Brunswick side (I am actually originally from Western Canada) but its a place I would really love to go camping.
Still chuckling to myself about that whole “Her Boyfriend’s Back or The Bastard Returns” thing – hey, I was happy to pass it on

Michelle, I thought I’d post over here as well. Thanks, too, for the kind words. My wife and I have been there three times since ‘99 and, say what you will about their government and their policies, we love it there and we’ve never encountered any snooty Parisians. Ah, for another crêpe chocolat along the Champs-Elysées. Some day, hopefully sooner rather than later.
We’ve been up there once before a couple years ago, in Halifax, on a stop on a Royal Caribbean cruise out of NYC that also made a port o’ call in St. John. We did a pub crawl at a few places in Halifax, don’t remember the names of the pubs, but it was a blast. We were led around by a guy with bagpipes. Quite an experience. If I can find some pics perhaps I’ll send them..?
I work with lawyers and my older brother is one, so no ribbing from me about those who practice..

That woud be great. Would love to see the pictures. Just think, you would have fit right in at our World’s Biggest Pub Crawl event
You work with lawyers. But I thought you were a photographer. So do you take pictures of the lawyers through the bars like the animals at the zoo?
